Connectivity

What are the connectivity methods supported by EuroCCP?

Firms have four options for receiving data from EuroCCP.

  • DTCC’s SMART Network – This communication method leverages connectivity many firms already have in other areas of their business with DTCC. As an alternative, firms can set up a new connection from their location via SMART. SMART gives the client the ability to transmit and receive files, send and receive messages and access browser functionality. Firms should allow for approximately 2 weeks to establish connectivity through an existing connection. New connections take approximately 14 weeks, as equipment must be ordered and installed at a firm’s location.
  • SWIFT – EuroCCP supports connectivity over SWIFT Net FIN, for messages related to the clearing and settlement processes, as well as SWIFTNET FileAct for machine readable output. Access to user screens is also supported using the SWIFT Browse product. As certain approvals are required to setup connectivity over SWIFT, firms should allow approximately 4 weeks to set up and test connectivity using this method. As part of this approval process, the member needs to submit a request to join EuroCCP’s Closed User Group (CUG).
  • NOTE: When using SWIFT, any transactional charges will be reverse billed.

  • BT Radianz – This communication method leverages connectivity many firms already have with BT Radianz. Radianz, DTCC and the client will work closely together to configure the connection. Radianz gives the client the ability to transmit and receive files, send and receive messages and access browser functionality. Since DTCC’s connection is encrypted, the client will also need to make arrangements for BT Radianz to install an encryption device on their premises. It takes approximately 5 weeks to set up and test connectivity using this method.
  • NOTE: DTCC may assess a connection charge separate from the firm’s own Radianz charges.

  •  FTP Secure (commonly referred to as FTP/SSL) – This communication method encompasses a number of ways in which FTP software can perform secure file transfers. FTPS provides encrypted transmission to exchange EuroCCP files. It is an alternative to a dedicated line connection to DTCC and can support different hardware and software configurations. Once setup and testing are complete, clients can upload and download files securely over the internet. This process takes approximately 4 weeks to complete.

What is the correct URL to access the EuroCCP Browser via SMART?

https://euroccp-pbs.dtcc.net (the URL is available and valid once connectivity has been established).

If a Participant is attempting to access the EuroCCP Browser via SMART, but the system keeps asking for the Participant's ID and Password which they have entered several times, what should the Participant do?

This usually indicates an authentication issue. The Participant's IP address has to be linked to its account. If the IP presented by the Participant's network is not correctly linked in the appropriate tables, the Participant will not be able to log in.
